The Linear Picture & Mirror Light is a slim aluminum bar that mounts on the wall and throws a clean, even wash of light across whatever sits below it. Above a framed painting or print it works as a picture light, lifting the colors and texture of the piece out of a dim wall. Above a bathroom mirror it works as a vanity light, spreading soft light across the whole face with no shadows under the eyes and no dim corners.
A single touch switch cycles between warm white, cool white, and a tricolor mode. Warm white flatters artwork and an evening room, cool white is the one you want for a morning routine or close-up detail. The black one throws a really clean line of light. It comes out of the whole length evenly, no bright spots and no dark gaps at the ends.
The bar is one solid piece of aluminum with a matte finish. No seams, no flex when you hold it, and the mounting plate sits right in the middle of the back.
Installed this above my bathroom mirror and the light spread is so even, no more shadows under my eyes when doing makeup.
Everything came in the one box: the bar, the wall plate, the driver, and the screws and anchors. Nothing extra to buy before you can put it up.
Switched off during the day it just reads as a thin dark line on the wall. That was the part I could not tell from the photos before ordering.
